Experienced trip leaders
Badley Ashton have been arranging and running field trips for our clients for over 15 years. Our staff are all passionate about geology and they really appreciate being able to get away from their desks and out into the field. We have a wealth of experience to fall back on, including an extensive back catalogue of trips that we have run and a whole range of excellent locations.
Past trip locations include the Jurassic Yorkshire and Northumbrian coast; the Zechstein of north-east England; Lincolnshire Limestone of the Wash region; The Jurassic of Helmsdale, Scotland; the Greensand of the Woburn Sands area and the Geology of the Devon-Dorset Coast. Although we specialise in UK based trips we have also been involved in leading trips in places such as Oman, France and Spain.
Trips customised to suit your needs
All of our field trips are arranged to suit the needs of our clients. We undertake reconnaissance trips to make sure that we have suitable analogues for the formations that they are interested in. All of the locations are carefully chosen to illustrate specific geological features, geometries and sedimentary structures; and we are careful to work closely with our clients in the planning stage to make sure we meet all of their requirements. We also provide guide books and hand-outs to all attendees.
Safety First: We never undertake a trip without first performing a full risk assessment and we can also supply trained first aiders and personal protective equipment if necessary.
If you are interested in finding out more about what we can offer you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
