View our ServicesFollowing completion of the highly successful Geological Society of London Core Values conference, work on the forthcoming special publication continues apace. Called Core Values: the Role of Core in Twenty-first Century Reservoir Characterization, this will be number 527 in the Geological Society’s highly respected Special Publication series.
Working alongside our clients from Shell, Badley Ashton’s Andrea James, Meriem Bertouche and Nick Foote have had a paper accepted into the volume. Entitled “The value of integrated core–CT–BHI data in characterizing aeolian dune geometries and effects of cross-cutting deformation bands: implications for permeability architecture” the paper looks at the value of 3D CT scans for reservoir characterisation, when used in conjunction with detailed core logging and borehole image data. It illustrates this using real world examples from the Jurassic Norphlet Formation of the Gulf of Mexico.
You can view the abstract/paper and find out more information about the rest of the volume here.
