Our specialist teams target and solve specific challenges in reservoir characterisation.
View our ServicesOur Houston team delivered a comprehensive Deepwater Course to a group of Noble Energy Geologists and Engineers. A hierarchical approach to reservoir description and characterisation was central to the design of this bespoke course, which built from first principles and directly related sedimentary processes and depositional architecture to reservoir quality, heterogeneity and connectivity. Its aim was to demonstrate how data and interpretations can cascade through hierarchies, and to highlight the choices a reservoir geoscientist or engineer faces in order to integrate effectively. These overarching themes were explored in a range of modules that included Deepwater Depositional Processes, Deepwater Clastic 'Fan' Systems, Borehole Imaging and its applications, and Reservoir Quality Analysis. The course was delivered over 3 days and included working with client-specific data for a representative experience.
Feedback from the course:
"As an engineer, it was good to see more of how everything connects, and the importance of data early in the development to see decisions driven by it" - Noble Reservoir Engineer
"Very well organised, knowledgeable and helpful" - Noble Reservoir Geologist
"Course content was detailed and relevant to overall interpretation and modelling processes" - Noble Reservoir Engineer
